Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA – Iran and Azerbaijan Republic signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on media cooperation on the sidelines of the 22nd Press and News Agencies Exhibition in Tehran.
The accord was signed by deputy minister of culture and Islamic guidance for press affairs Hossein Entezami and Chairman of Azerbaijan Republic's Press Council Aflatun Amashov in a bid to promote joint media undertakings.
Entezami told IRNA on Wednesday that the accord aims to exchange media products directly between the two countries and on the basis of the document, both countries' media will exchange various media products such as news, photos and reports in Persian and the Azeri languages.
Amashov said that the accord will help transfer of experience, hold educational workshops in both countries and use capacities of the two sides on tourism, cultural and social cooperation.
The 22nd Press and News Agencies Exhibition opened in Tehran on November 4 and will work until November 11.
